Dhaka Credit Holds Combined Programs



In a gathering of some 150 participants Dhaka Credit held an event of four occasions including inauguration of Spoken English Course 28th batch, awarding certificates to Spoken English Course’s 27th batch, certificates distribution to Dhaka Credit union school teachers and conclusion of Service Month of the union.

Babu Markus Gomes, the president of Dhaka Credit [the Christian Cooperative Credit Union Limited, Dhaka] presided over the program while secretary Ignatious Hemanta Corraya facilitated the event. Among others Dhaka Credit’s vice-president James Prodip Biswas, treasurer Bipul Lawrence Gomes, director Prosanto Francis Rozario, Elias Pintu Costa, Anthony Rupon Purification, Credit Committee’s chairman James Nikhil Das, member John Nilu Chambugong, Antonio Prodip Reberio, Anando Philip Palma, Supervisory Committee’s chairman Purnima Maria Gomes, secretary Papia D’Cruze, member Dominic Ranjan Gomes, Pankaj Michael Corraya,  Wilson Stephen Reberio, English Course teacher Rezaun Nobi Reza and principal of Dhaka Credit union school Anando Chowdhury were present on the occasion.

In his speech Dhaka Credit’s president Gomes commended the overall activities being conducted by the 300 staff members in the operational areas of Dhaka, Narayangonj, Gazipur and Munshiganj districts among the 35,000 general members. Citing outstanding initiatives of the credit union, the president mentioned of some projects including initiation of cooperative shop, process of establishing Divine Mercy General Hospital at Dhaka’s Asadgate, Medical College and Hospital at Mothbari and some more community interest efforts. ‘Sustainable development in the Christian community is the main target of all the efforts of this union,’ stressed the president.

The guests awarded the 25 staff members of the union [for rendering quality services] in the service month. The guests also provided appreciations to the staff members who completed 5, 10 and 20 years of service in the union.
